Jake Quickenden has shared his hopes to return to 圣橡镇少年, fresh from his dramatic stint that will soon air on the Channel 4 soap.

The former The X Factor star filmed a guest role for the show recently alongside his Dancing on Ice co-star Stephanie Waring, who plays Cindy Cunningham.

It was soon confirmed he would be part of the show's dramatic October stunt, which sees a crane fall on the village and cause mass destruction - with a death heavily rumoured.

Now, speaking exclusively to 欧洲杯外围 at the Inside Soap Awards 2019, Jake promised "big" scenes were on the way as stunt week approaches, while appearing to confirm the fate of his character by hoping for a return.

Jake Quickenden has revealed all on his 圣橡镇少年 stint

He teased of the upcoming storyline that would see his character, builder Woody, caught up in devastating scenes: "It's good, that's all you're getting.

"It's big and it's good, and my character is a bit of a cheeky chap so it was a good role to play and it's a lot different to live acting!"

Jake also shared his hopes to return to the show in the New Year, praising the cast for being so welcoming.

He said: "I’ve been linked with 圣橡镇少年 for a few years now, so it felt like it was a long time coming.

"I enjoyed trying something new and meeting all the amazing people involved in the show, the crew, make-up, the cast... I really felt like I fitted in."

Jake added: "There's definitely the potential to go back isn’t there. I’ve loved every second of it."

Teasing a return could be on the cards, he appeared to confirm Woody wouldn't be a victim of the stunt - but then again this is soap land so anything can happen.

On hoping the show will give Woody a permanent stay in 圣橡镇少年 village, Jake said: "I’m hoping so. I'd love to if the offer opens up, I'd love to be a part of it.

"My main objective right now is to get panto out of the way, which I love, then I’m on tour in January and February with Kristina Rihanoff. I’m singing and presenting which I love doing as well.

"Then I’m hoping 圣橡镇少年 chuck it out there and reel me back in!"

圣橡镇少年 airs weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4 with the next episode at 7pm on E4.
